
Google: Remarkable Successes in 2011
Although we have gone halfway through the year, giant tech Google has gained its remarkable share of successes. Here are five Google biggest successes of the year.

Google has recently launched Google+, the next effort in social networking and possibly the search giant’s challenge to Facebook. In core, Google’s new social network, Google+, basically does what all social networking sites do including connections and sharing. Google seems to plan for Google Plus from the beginning by preparing the +1 button and then launching Google Plus social network. The social network allows users to share images, videos, links and your location. The most ambitious effort of Google has connections with YouTube and Google Docs. Reportedly, the number of Google+ has hit 18 millions.

Chromebooks
The Chrome OS-based Notebooks “Chromebooks” is available for order on Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and other details in seven countries from June 15. Samsung and Acer are two big producers for the new Chrome Notebooks. The Chrome OS is based on Google cloud technology as in Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

Les Paul Guitar Doodle
For a long time, Internet users have become familiar with changes in Google’s homepage. Normally, people find Google doodles on birthdays, holidays, special events, celebrations and anniversaries. Most recently, Google has created the commemorative doodles to guitar legend Les Paul on June 9 homepage. The doodle allows users to play and record samples on virtual strings which sooner becomes a phenomenon.

Google’s New Look
Google also changed homepage into a new look with many new makeovers including Search, Maps, News, and Gmail. The new design focuses on big blue buttons, white space and bold red text.
